Milestones were well thought out and included exactly what we needed. The project started quickly and their design team wasted no time putting together wireframes and designs that allowed us to tangibly understand exactly what we'd be getting.
Additionally, the team's ability to suggest new ideas and thoughts are solutions to our challenges was awesome. They did a great job in adding value and helping us understand why a certain solution was better than another.
We'll be using them again and referring WarmDevs to others.
In each project, we divide workstreams and determine milestones. Then we identify competencies needed to fulfill the tasks, calculate the work time of each expert, and approve everything with the client. After signing the contract, we allocate a separate team for the project. The project manager directs and supervises the process; he is the contact point for the client.
In this website redesign case study, we were tasked with an interesting challenge. When the pandemic hit, the Bear Analytics team faced a common problem: it was time to adapt to the new reality to stay above the water level. No small task, considering it required a complete overhaul of the existing state of the matter.
That’s what we made a priority and focused on during the agile kick-off meeting. We determined the main pain point of the client and discussed in detail what it entailed.
Bear Analytics had no small feat ahead: shifting their priority from offline to online. Their website, at the time, became outdated and did not meet modern standards. They needed the help of a web expert.
Their market niche has shifted, and their ICP followed. A new platform they were looking to build needed to meet modern digital standards and help the company adapt to a new market segment. We started to work on a development strategy that would do exactly that.
It’s not the first website in our case study examples where the client put an emphasis on the deadlines. They needed a new website due to a predetermined date to launch a new MVP without delay and test it on the new market.
We were eager to provide our expertise in digital product creation. The client welcomed recommendations with open arms, as it was what they were looking for from a professional partner. They wanted to work with someone who would guide them through the development, and we were more than happy to help them integrate into the new market segment. The partnership we’ve built through close collaboration turned out very friendly, open, and trusting.
When we determined all the pain points and thoroughly discussed the requirements, we set on an appropriate strategy. The base of our development became the Webflow platform, as it provides solid tools for SEO and marketing as well as significant flexibility.
Let’s look into the development process in more detail.
Considering the change in focus on market segments, we couldn’t just reuse the old website structure to accommodate the new ICP. First, we’ve reviewed the customer journey with the compiled profile as a reference. We took into consideration the client’s requests and paid close attention to differing user flows. Then, the customer journey told us everything we needed to know about the new website structure. We’ve created the UX service design with users’ convenience in mind.
Of course, we couldn’t just compile a new platform as we sit fit and call it done. The client needed to understand our logic and the thought process for developing their new platform. We provided as much insight into our work as was appropriate. The client took an active part throughout the whole process of development. We consulted them on their requirements and product specifications, gathering feedback and incorporating it into the work. Together we’ve developed an architecture that suited Bear Analytics' services and audience as best as possible. We provided strong reasoning for each decision about this case study website structure and only incorporated functionality that would benefit the final MVP.
The work on UI design began when the website structure for the SaaS company was final. The new appearance must fit the client's preference and correspond to the references they provided. UI had to be professional, clean, and simple. Our designer created a style guide for visual reference to the new branding. Fonts, colors, buttons, lists, icons, and miscellaneous elements relevant to interface design were provided for the client in the style guide. We’ve completed integrations on the platform with the Webflow UI kit.
We’ve created more pages to provide more value. Based on our experience, we provided suggestions that would benefit their business model, help guide users through pages and retain clients. One such example is using Calendly to set up meetings. It’s a very straightforward way for potential customers to request a call with the Bear Analytics representative. Another way to engage users was by adding animations. Lotties became a shortcut for simple explanations of a complex product. Overall, the website ended up containing 19 pages altogether. The UI design service was done in Figma, as it’s a great design tool that allows for smooth collaboration and easy presentation.
We developed the website on Webflow. It’s a flexible platform with a professional toolset and vast possibilities for custom edits. We based our development around low-code solutions to provide the client with a convenient platform after the project is completed.
It was important to ensure that the final product was optimized for performance and functionality across different browsers and devices. To achieve this, our team conducted quality assurance (QA) testing to identify and resolve any issues raised. This involved testing the website on different browsers and devices to ensure it looks and functions consistently across all platforms. We also checked the site's load times and made any necessary optimizations so it would load quickly and efficiently.
In addition to QA testing, our devs also fixed bugs, identified and resolved any errors that may impact the site's functionality. This included everything from broken links and images to issues with forms and scripts.
Once all issues have been identified and resolved, the final step was for us to deploy the website live. We ensured the site was accessible to users. After the work was done, we provided the client with instructions on using their new platform to make their experience more comfortable. We provide video guides and consultations to help clients familiarize themselves with the new functionality.
We provided mobile optimization as well. It was crucial to ensure the website was optimized for mobile screens and that the user experience was consistent across all devices. In this project, we created a responsive design for every screen resolution, including mobile devices and tablets, adjusting the layout and styling. This added 18 pages to the website but ensured it looked and worked well on different devices.
The experience was great, even before we actually started developing the project. We quickly got on the same page during the introductions, tuning in on a similar wavelength. Together we dug deep into business analytics service to ensure all the work we do afterward is meaningful.
Our team poured our best effort into this MVP, and we’ve come to really appreciate the people behind Bear Analytics. Me, and the whole team, we all hope that the website will bring them great results and bring their business to a new level.
Looking forward to more opportunities to collaborate, of course!
